Hm, I guess I'll have to think about this one a bit. Lots of Bob Dylan comes to mind...on a related note, I am getting my iPod ready for the next 27 months. Hopefully I won't be relieved of it in Nairobbery.

I am going to have to represent (I live in Music City USA, for another 30 days at least) here, so I humbly submit "The Dance" by Garth Brooks. It is a song that says I'd rather have lived my life an eventful, hard life than never have lived before. I am not a country music fan, but I love that sone.

Though you may have different tastes in music than I, you cannot go wrong with Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Bob Marley. I have also been resarching music in Kenya. Seems that Hip-Hop (yet not so much "slap them ho's and get drunk and bling bling" that we get in the good old us, but politally charged hip-hop) and music from the ninetys is good there. which therefore covers all of my CD's.

Some of these people do not really reflect my musical tastes...though some do. I just found the lyrics to these songs to relate to my personal feelings about the PC

Thanks for the reassuring thoughts. I figure a lot of my timing is because of my recent dental clearance, however, I think I am going to start calling and bugging the shit out of the PC offices. . . though I do look on the bright side, I don't think Erin has her Invite yet. oh I thought of another song while I was at work. . . Wild World by Kat Stevens (Don't know if the speling is right, but whatver) Are there any other PC things I should have gotten by now besides my Invite package????

So a million years later, here are my songs...some of them:
1. Jerusalem (Steve Earle). Puts the "Peace" in Peace Corps. One of the world's most beautiful songs, always makes me cry.
2. Homeward Bound (Simon & Garfunkle). Expecting to be homesick a lot.
3. Top of the World (Carpenters). It's a love song, but always makes me happy. Also appropriate for a trek up Mt. Kili.
4. Like a Rolling Stone (Bob Dylan). Not to be negative or anything, but I expect this will feel really relevant at some point.
5. Everybody Hurts (REM). Again, just a little anxious right now.
